Statement of Faith
GracePointe Baptist Church has the following
Denominational Affiliations:
Southern Baptist Convention
Since its organization in 1845 in Augusta, Georgia, the Southern
Baptist Convention (SBC) has grown to 15.8 million members who
worship in more than 40,000 churches in the United States. Southern
Baptists sponsor about 5,000 home missionaries serving the United
States, Canada, Guam and the Caribbean, as well as sponsoring more
than 4,000 foreign missionaries in 126 nations of the world.
The term "Southern Baptist Convention" refers to both the
denomination and its annual meeting. Working through 1,221 local
associations and 39 state conventions and fellowships, Southern
Baptists share a common bond of basic Biblical beliefs and a
commitment to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the entire
world.

Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma
Composed of 1,689 churches, 448,119 resident members the convention
has 42 associations with a budget of $38,762, 245 (2001). Dr.
Anthony Jordan is Executive Director-Treasurer with three associate
directors in charge of Church Outreach Team, Support Services Team,
and Church and Family Equipping Team.
The mission statement of the convention is:
The Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma is a cooperating body of
local Southern Baptist Churches joined together to glorify God.
Our mission is to fulfill the work of Jesus Christ by:
- Assisting churches in accomplishing their Biblical mission
- Providing channels for cooperative ministry in Oklahoma and the
world.
As and International Church we are excited that 400 churches in the
Convention are language (other than English) in about 30 different
languages.

Capital Baptist Association
Made up of approximately 150 churches and missions in the Oklahoma
City metropolitan area. These churches, with the exception of eight
which are in Canadian, El Reno, and Logan counties, are located in
Oklahoma City.
The ministry includes: two mission center (Grace Rescue Mission and
the Baptist Mission Center), the Police Chaplaincy program, and
Baptist College Ministries. Their offices are at 3800 N. May Ave.
The Association's primary function is to encourage and assist the
churches in their mission to influence the world for Jesus Christ.
